Coffee
The autumn espresso, picked by you
Forty of you came to our September cupping. Here's what won, and why the runner-up became our filter.

In September forty of you squeezed around the big table to taste five coffees from our roaster. The votes were close, and the winner surprised us.
The winner
A washed coffee from a single farm, with stone fruit and a long, clean finish. It's bright as an espresso and holds its own in a flat white, which is the test that matters most at 7am.
The runner-up
A natural-processed coffee that was too wild for espresso but beautiful as filter. It's on batch brew until the end of November.
The next cupping is on 26 November, when we pick the winter espresso. It's free; book a place on the events page.
The Sunday Loaf
One short email every Friday with the weekend bake list.
